Goals and Objectives

"Learning Involves The Entire Child"

MONTESSORI INTERNATIONAL PRACTICES THE
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE DR. MARIA MONTESSORI TEACHING METHOD

  1. Foster good mental health and build a good self-image in each child.
  2. Develop a positive attitude toward learning.
  3. Help each child develop self-confidence as an independent learner.
  4. Assist each child in building a habit of concentration.
  5. Foster curiosity.
  6. Develop good habits, initiative and persistence.
  7. Develop inner security and a sense of order.
  8. Develop sensory-motor skills.
  9. Sharpen the child’s ability to discriminate and make valid judgments.
  10. Develop socially, in terms of cooperation and respect for others.
  11. Develop creative thought and imagination.

In addition to supporting the Montessori Teaching Method’s foundational goals and objectives, we feel the development should include the physical, emotional, social and intellectual being—with an emphasis on the joy of learning. We emphasize the ability to make choices, the ability to learn through his/her own experiences, the development of the senses, motor skills, self-confidence, self-discipline and concentration. We want to strengthen the child’s attention span and sense of order in his/her everyday life as well as enhance creativity and the development of his/her imagination and independence.
